Leading the Charge Towards a Cleaner Louisiana

April 22, 2024 - Pineville, LA

Crest Industries is excited to announce its designation as a certified Clean Biz with Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB).  This milestone marks another significant leap in the company’s environmental awareness program and a strengthened commitment to sustainability and community improvement.

At Crest Industries, sustainability is embedded in processes, systems, and the culture of the organization. A 2021 calculation revealed the Crest family of companies as a Carbon Negative organization, removing more than 30 times the amount of carbon their direct operations emit into the atmosphere. The team later joined the Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance to further grow Crest’s sustainability program.

In 2023, Crest partnered with KLB for an Earth Day Glass Recycling Drive at Glass Act Recycling, and the team was inspired by the mission of both non-profits. Together, the teams, students, and volunteers diverted more than 2,600 pounds of glass waste from landfills while also building a sense of collective responsibility and sustainable lifestyles. Building upon the success of the initiative, Crest is delighted to continue the partnership into 2024 for another recycling drive.

"After learning more about Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and participating in Love the Boot Week, we are excited to expand our partnership with the organization,.” says Sarah LaBorde, Sustainability Manager at Crest Industries. “Their mission aligns well with Crest’s values, and we are always eager to find new ways to own doing the right thing and help improve the communities we serve."
